Seeking out stories of hard work and determination, Noise has released its first ever short film series celebrating the illustrious careers of elite Indian athletes on the occasion of National Sports Day 2021.

Deepak Niwas Hooda
Captain of the Indian kabaddi team, Deepak Niwas Hooda is the first to be featured on our series. Aptly titled ‘resilience’, this episode uncovers the adversity that Deepak had to go through since he was a young boy. Driven by his family and a sense of passion, he looks back at the time when he was forced to take on responsibilities at an early age. Powering through every injury and sleepless night, find out how he eventually landed one of the largest kabaddi contracts.
Quest update: Deepak aspires to be an iconic captain for the Indian kabaddi team, eventually being successful in leading the squad to a world cup.
Tania Sachdev
A 3 time Commonwealth gold medallist and Indian chess grandmaster, learn how the ‘brilliance’ unfolds as Tania Sachdev narrates her story. Extending the value of chess to her daily life, she talks about how being calculated, precise and consistent pays off in any arena. In the game of life or on the chessboard, Tania urges everyone to be persistent and take charge of every decision that they make.

Bhaichung Bhutia
Before football was trendy; before all the video games and superstar jerseys, ex Indian football captain Bhaichung Bhutia talks about how he chose the road not taken. A true ‘inspiration’ and torchbearer of Indian football; Bhaichung has been blessed with several accolades including the Arjuna and Padma Shri Award. He explores the time during his youth when he became first Asian player to score a goal in the English league and much more.
Quest update: Bhaichung today runs his own private football academy, working to provide students a platform to learn the game and compete at a high level.
Varun Singh Bhati
Overcoming physical challenges since a young age; learn about the powerful and compelling story of the para high jumper from India, Varun Singh Bhati. Led by a belief in one’s own ability, Varun talks about the all the highs and lows on his journey towards ‘excellence’. Representing the country on several international events, his scores of medals are a true testament to his dedication.
