Control lives in two places. The earbuds carry their own touch gestures for the everyday stuff, tracks, calls, volume, and ANC. The case adds a dedicated multi-function button and scroll wheel on top of that, handling the same essentials without touching your ear, plus a few things touch alone can't, like switching between Music and Video/Phone mode. Pair the buds for sound. Pair the case for control.
