This range covers ten in-ear truly wireless earbuds: the ALT Buds and ALT Buds S, Buds N1, Buds Uno, Buds X2, Buds N1 Pro and Buds N2 Pro, plus the premium Sound by Bose Master Buds and Master Buds 2, and the Hi-Res Buds Vector. All charge over USB-C.
The Buds and ALT Buds models focus on everyday value — long battery, clear calls and, on several, ANC. The Master Buds and Master Buds 2 are the premium tier: Sound by Bose tuning, LHDC Hi-Res audio, adaptive ANC up to 49–51dB and app-based EQ and controls.
The Buds X2 lead by a wide margin with up to 140 hours of total playtime — among the longest in the Noise range. The Buds N2 Pro follow at up to 70 hours and the Buds N1 Pro at 60. Most others deliver around 40–45 hours.
Six offer ANC: Master Buds 2 lead with adaptive ANC up to 51dB, followed by Master Buds at 49dB and ALT Buds at 35dB. The Buds X2, Buds N1 Pro and Buds N2 Pro each reach 32dB. The X2, N2 Pro and Master pair also add a Transparency mode.
The Master Buds and Master Buds 2 are the audio flagships, tuned with Sound by Bose and supporting LHDC Hi-Res streaming — the Master Buds use 12.4mm drivers, the Master Buds 2 add 360° spatial audio. The Buds Vector also support LDAC Hi-Res on 11mm deep-bass drivers.
The Master Buds and Master Buds 2 use a six-microphone ENC system for the clearest calls. Most others — including the ALT Buds, Buds N1, Buds X2 and Buds Vector — carry a quad-mic ENC setup. The Buds N1 are tuned specifically for people often on calls.
Most support dual-device pairing, letting you switch between phone and laptop — the ALT Buds, ALT Buds S, Buds Uno, Buds X2, Buds N1 Pro, Buds N2 Pro, Master Buds and Master Buds 2. The Buds N1 are the exception, connecting to one device at a time.
Both use Sound by Bose tuning, LHDC Hi-Res audio and adaptive ANC with Transparency. The original Master Buds go louder on hardware — 12.4mm PEEK-titanium drivers, 49dB ANC and up to 44 hours. The Master Buds 2 push further on features: 51dB ANC, 360° spatial audio and head tracking.
Both share 11mm drivers, quad-mic ENC, Bluetooth 6.0, dual-device pairing and up to 45 hours of playtime. The step up is ANC: the ALT Buds add 35dB active noise cancellation and spatial audio, while the ALT Buds S skip ANC and come in four colourways instead of two.
The Buds N1 focus on calls with quad-mic ENC and up to 40 hours, no ANC. The N1 Pro add 32dB ANC, dual-device pairing and up to 60 hours. The N2 Pro top the trio with 32dB ANC, a Transparency mode, Bluetooth 6.0 with Fast Pair and up to 70 hours.
The Buds N1, Buds Uno and Buds Vector cover the essentials affordably — all deliver up to 40 hours of playtime with quad-mic ENC calling. The Buds Uno add a leather-accent design and dual-device pairing, while the Buds Vector step up audio with LDAC Hi-Res support.
None are waterproof or swim-safe. Most carry an IPX5 rating that handles sweat, splashes and light rain — fine for workouts. The Buds Uno are rated IPX4 for lighter splash resistance. Whichever pair you choose, avoid submerging them and dry them fully before returning them to the case.
Yes. Every pair works with both iPhones and Android phones over Bluetooth, and pairs with Bluetooth laptops and tablets too. All support Siri and Google Assistant. The ALT Buds, Master Buds and Master Buds 2 also connect to the Noise Audio app for EQ, ANC and gesture controls.
